Mr. Jackie Eugene Collins, age 59, a resident of Culleoka, passed away Saturday morning, September 18, 2021, at Legacy Health & Rehab in Manchester.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at 1:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with William Owens officiating. Burial will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Monday, September 20, 2021, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on September 7, 1962, in Maury County, Jackie was the son of the late Jack Collins and the late Lois Frost Collins. He worked as a backhoe operator for many years and was previously a long-haul truck driver. He often enjoyed playing softball.
He is survived by his daughter, Erica (Seth Foster) Collins of Murfreesboro, son, Dexter Daniels of Mt. Pleasant, brothers, Donald (Patty) Collins of Mt. Pleasant, Glenn (Debbie) Collins of West Virginia, Mike (Brenda) Collins of Mt. Pleasant, sisters, Patricia Luttrell of Culleoka, Cynthia (Michael) Wiseman of Culleoka, grandson, Landyn Zimmerman, sister-in-law, Patty Collins, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jimmy and Billy Collins, sister, Diane Estis, and nephew, “Baby Donald.”
Pallbearers will be Bobby Ashworth, Randall Collins, Stephen Collins, Jerry Estis, Jeffrey Collins, and Benny Hill Ashworth. Jackie’s nieces and nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers.
