Jaime Viramontes, age 64, a resident of Columbia, passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 10th, at 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Donnie Davis officiating. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday from 12:00 PM until the service hour at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on August 30, 1961, Jaime was the son of Antonio Viramontes and the late Anita Muro. He married the love of his life, Laura Rivas Viramontes, nearly 46 years ago. Jaime was known for his remarkable storytelling and his wonderful sense of humor. A true jack of all trades, he could repair anything. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and had a deep love for animals, especially horses.
In addition to his father and wife, he is survived by his sons, Jaime (Lindala) Viramontes, Sergio (Katherine) Viramontes, and Adolfo (Amanda) Viramontes; daughter, Susy Silva; brothers, Antonio (Margarita) Viramontes, Jr. and Manuel (Maribel) Viramontes; sisters, Olga, Sylvia, Ramona, Bertha, and Teresa Viramontes; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Along with his mother, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jose Viramontes.
