James Edward Patton, age 69, a resident of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at NHC Columbia.
Born on December 15, 1954, in Columbia, Tennessee, James was the son of the late Leroy Patton and the late Etta Mae Fleming Patton.
An avid outdoorsman, he had a deep love for farming and horseback riding. He also enjoyed watching classic westerns and wrestling. Above all, James cherished his family and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his brothers, Larry (Judy) Patton, David Patton, sisters, Pamela (Don) Martin, Sheila Lyles, Sandra Kinzer, a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins, and his loving neighbors, Katelyn Shaw and Brandon Bumpas.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gene Patton, and brother-in-law, Herbert Lyles.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home. Following the service, he will be laid to rest in Maury Memorial Gardens. A visitation will also be held on Saturday, from 12:00 – 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. https://www.tnfunerals.com
Nephews will serve as pallbearers and nieces will serve as flower girls.
