James Larry Marks of Lynnville, Tennessee passed away on June 28, 2026 at the age of 70.
He was born on April 16, 1956 in Lynnville, Tennessee. James was a beloved father, grandfather, and friend who touched the lives of all who knew him. He worked as a dedicated teacher for over 30 years, inspiring countless students to achieve their dreams.
James is survived by his two daughters, Anna and Sarah, and his five grandchildren, who were the light of his life. He is also survived by his brothers, Tom and Jerry Marks, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life service will be held on July 5, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Lynnville First Baptist Church, located at 123 Church St, Lynnville, TN. The family will receive friends for visitation on July 4, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Lynnville School Scholarship Fund, a cause that was close to James’ heart.
James was preceded in death by, his parents, Ben and Wilma Marks, and sister, Kathy Marks Beliles.
