Jerry-William-Jones

Jerry William Jones, a soul known for his loving kindness, left this world on October 20, 2025, in the comfort of his home in Hohenwald, TN, holding the hand of his fiancée Jennifer. Born to Franklin Delano Jones and Una McDonald Jones on March 17, 1960, in a small hospital in Georgia, Jerry’s life was one of quiet strength and spirit he carried within him.

Jerry’s early years were spent in Georgia, where he attended Ringgold High School. Upon graduation, he heard the call of duty and honorably served his country in the US Navy, stationed in the tropical landscapes of Hawaii from 1979 to 1983. Those years instilled in him a sense of discipline that he carried throughout his life.

After his military service, Jerry returned home with a newfound purpose. He pursued an education in electrical engineering. His career as a processing technician at Pillsbury spanned 13 years, where his colleagues respected him for his reliability and keen expertise.

Beyond the walls of his professional life, Jerry found peace in the simple pleasures. His hobbies included watching television and carpentry, where he expressed his creativity and craftsmanship. A lover of animals, he had a special bond with them, especially with his loyal dog, Son Son, who was a constant source of joy and companionship.

Despite being a man of few words, Jerry’s presence was a source of calm and comfort. He was an exceptional listener, often balancing out his fiancée Jennifer’s vivacity with his quiet demeanor. Their love story was one for the ages, having found each other not once but twice in a lifetime.

Jerry’s battle with cancer was faced with unwavering faith and courage. His belief in Jesus remained steadfast, providing him with peace and comfort during his most challenging moments.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness, remembered by his beloved fiancée, Jennifer; his devoted dog, Son Son; daughters Autumn Foster and her husband Robert, and Kirsten Jones; sister Alice Dibble Murphy; and sister, Sarah Frazier. His memory will also be cherished by numerous nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in his heart.

A graveside service will take place Thursday, October 30, 2025 beginning at 2:00 pm at Swiss Cemetery. https://www.adairfuneralservices.com
