Jimmy E. Ramsey, age 82, resident of Columbia, passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2024, at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Born on January 15, 1942, in Marshall County, Tennessee, Jimmy was the son of the late Clara Mae Ramsey Finley and the late Howard Finley.
With over fifty years in the restaurant industry, he proudly owned and operated several establishments in the Middle Tennessee area. Jimmy had a deep appreciation for antique furniture, enjoyed cooking, and took great joy in raising Doberman Pinschers. As a member of the Pentecostal Church of Christ, he found comfort in attending services and cherished listening to Gospel music.
He is survived by his son, Tommy Ramsey (Tina Terry) of Columbia, brother, Howard Finley, Jr. of Lewisburg, sisters, Yvonne Cashion of Lewisburg, Barbara (Richard) Kee of Lewisburg, and grandchild, Alex Ramsey.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Ramsey.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Thomas officiating. Following the service, he will be laid to rest in Friendship Cemetery. A visitation will also be held on Tuesday from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of The Pentecostal Church of Christ on Park Plus Drive.
