Joanne Marie Fulmizi, beloved wife of Louis Fulmizi, loving mom, grandma, sister, and friend, transitioned to heaven on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at the age of 68.
Joanne was born in Wayne County, Michigan to Jack and Norma Gielow on April 8, 1954.
She married Louie in 1975 and they moved to Columbia, TN where they built a beautiful life together.
In addition to her husband, Louie, she is survived by her children, Jesse (Shelley) Fulmizi, Brenda (John) Allen, and Gina (Jason) Johnson; grandchildren, Dylan Johnson, Landon Johnson, Austin Johnson, Devlin Prince; siblings, John (Carol) Gielow, Sharon (Jim) Kangas, Carol (Jim) Cooper, as well as several nieces and nephews and long-time friend, Kathy Karlyle.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Joanne leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness. Everyone who knew her, loved her. She was an instant friend to all, and will be remembered for her smile, caring nature, and quick-witted humor. This is the “Reader’s Digest” version, like Mom would have wanted.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2022, from 2:00 – 5:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with an entombment to follow in Maury Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. https://www.tnfunerals.com
