Joe Thomas Hodge, Jr., age 78, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Monday, March 9, 2026, at Alive Hospice Residence in Nashville, TN. He was a native of Lawrenceburg, TN, and retired from working his entire career in Healthcare IT. He loved spending time with his family and was an avid UT fan. Joe enjoyed playing golf in his younger years and was always in pursuit of knowledge. He was an alumnus of the United States Military Academy of West Point and served his country in the TN Army National Guard.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Thomas Hodge, Sr. and Bobbie Ladonna Graham Hodge; his wife, Joyce Cole Hodge; one daughter, Amanda Leigh Hodge; two brothers, Bobby Wayne Hodge and James Wiley Hodge; and one sister, Ladonna Jean “Jeanie” Hodge Freemon.
He is survived by one daughter, Kimberly Pinkston of Franklin, TN; one granddaughter, Kathleen “Katie” Pinkston of Franklin, TN; one sister, Janie Anderson (Joe) of Cadiz, KY; three brothers, William Cecil Hodge (Deborah) of Summertown, TN, Christopher John Hodge of Lawrenceburg, TN, and Roy Hodge (Kimberly) of Lawrenceburg, TN; two sisters-in-law, Marilyn Hodge of Grassy, AL and Martha Hodge of Huntsville, AL; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, March 13, 2026, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 10:00 AM Saturday, March 14, 2026, with Rex McCafferty officiating. Interment will follow at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens in Lawrenceburg, TN. The family suggests memorials be made to your local Parkinson’s Foundation or to Alive Hospice of Nashville.
