Juanita Diane Reardon Powers, age 72, wife of Richard LeRoy Powers, Jr., and a resident of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at her residence.
A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, February 28th at 4PM at Heritage Funeral Home, with Pastor Mike Stalnaker officiating. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Friday, February 28th from 3PM – 4PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on August 30, 1952, in Flint, Michigan, Juanita was the daughter of the late John William Reardon and the late Wilma Jean Bloomfield Reardon. On October 29, 1982, she married the love of her life, Richard LeRoy Powers, Jr. She earned a master’s degree and dedicated her career to administration in the medical field, later serving as a college professor before retiring in 2014. A tomboy at heart, Juanita had a passion for reading and teaching. Above all, she cherished her family and found immense joy in spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Rich (Sarah) Powers of Spring Hill, TN, stepson, Mike Powers of Michigan, stepdaughter, Christine (Jason) O’Brien of Michigan, sister, Pam (Mike) Lang of Ohio, brothers, Bill Reardon, Jerry (Alicia) Reardon of Michigan, brothers in law, Larry Powers, Randy Powers of Michigan, grandchildren, Lucas Powers, Ally Powers, Julie (Austin) Franckowiak, Maxima Morris, Ryan Hatfield, one great granddaughter, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to her niece, Colette Hense and dear friends, David and Sheryl Upchurch, for their help during her sickness.
