Julia Marie Doucette Owens passed away peacefully on March 24th, 2025, at the age of 71 in Hohenwald, TN.
Julia was born on May 13th, 1953, in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada. Julia was the daughter of Willard Doucette and Helen Shepherd (George) Demerse.
Julie found joy in the simple things in life like cleaning, shopping, and reading. Watching old western movies with her cats Tinkerbell and Loki, while enjoying an ice-cold diet Mt. Dew. Her greatest joy came from the time she spent with her son, Jimmy and her grandchildren Barrett and Ava Kate (her little “Booger babies”)
Julie never met a stranger; she would start up a conversation no matter where she went. If asked Julie would say outside of completing Cosmetology school, her most rewarding accomplishment was raising her son. She loved to tell others about him and always brought her joy and a smile to her face.
Julie will be lovingly remembered by her son James (Carly) Owens, her grandchildren Ava Kate and Barrett Owens, her sister Sandra Fultcher, along with the rest of the family and friends.
Julie was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Owens, her mother Helen Shepherd Demerse, father Willard Doucette and Step-Father George Demerse.
