Justo Barrenechea, 88, resident of Columbia, passed away Sunday, July 25 at his home.
A celebration of life will be held August 7, at 2:00 PM at the Lifehouse Church in Spring Hill with John Privett officiating. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born July 13, 1933 in Marquina Spain, he was the son of the late Justo and Martina Duralde Barrenechea and husband of Patricia Kunkel Barrenechea. Justo served in the Spanish Air Force and worked for the Palm County School System. He played jai alai until his 30’s, studied art in Naples Italy, painted many pictures around the world, but his greatest accomplishment was the last 20 years being Grandpa.
In addition to his wife, Justo is survived by his children: Michael (Stacy) Barrenechea of Panama City FL and Lisa (Roger) Lee of Spring Hill; brother: Eugenio Barrenetxea of Marquina Spain; grandchildren: Allexah Lee, Larissa Lee, Jack Barrenechea and Bella Barrenechea.
