Ms. Katherine Hash White, age 80, a resident of Columbia, passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at her residence.
Born April 4, 1943, Katherine was the daughter of the late James Everett Hash and the late Cecelia Lucile Bunch Hash.
Katherine was born in Bluefield, WV. She worked for Fred’s Department for over 25 years and was an apparel clerk expert.
She loved to read cookbooks and had a collection of them. Above all she cherished her family.
Katherine is survived by her daughter Tammy (Sammy) Walters of Columbia, TN. Grandchildren, Heather (Adam) Butler, Ryan (Kerri) Walters and Katie Walters. She is also survived by a Great Granddaughter Anna Reese Butler.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry White, her parents, a daughter Deborah White Boutwell.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, May 25, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Heritage Funeral Home with Steven McCollum officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Walters, Adam Butler, Jonathan Walters, Blake Walters, John Michael King, Chris Hicks, Scott Elias, Deric Keltner, and Phillip Pullen
