Lawrence J. Tabor, affectionately known by his friends and family as “Larry,” age 84, a resident of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026, at Life Care Center.
Born on February 20, 1942, in New Britain, Connecticut, Lawrence was the son of the late Walter Tabor and the late Florence Johnson Tabor. He served in the United States Marine Corps and retired from Pratt & Whitney in Southington, Connecticut. Larry was known for having a laid-back personality and a love of country music. He especially enjoyed singing and playing his guitar at many family gatherings.
He is survived by his daughters, Laurie Igaunis of Bantam, CT, Kathleen Tabor of Concord, NC,
Granddaughter, Amber Gangloff of Torrington, CT, great granddaughter, Kadie Gangloff of Torrington, CT, sister, Patricia Dimora of East Hartford, CT, brother, Thomas (Linda) Tabor of New Hartford, CT, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Debi Tabor, brother, Robert “Ted” Tabor, and sisters, Geraldine Carver and Shirley Houghtaling.
Lawrence will be laid to rest alongside his wife, Debi, in the Heritage Estates Columbarium at Maury Memorial Gardens.
