Marie Joyce Brown, of Lyles, Tennessee, passed away on June 22, 2026, at St. Thomas Hickman Hospital at the age of 61.
Marie was born on June 8, 1965, in Nashville, Tennessee, to John W. Sharpe, Sr. and Joyce Ann Geist Colburn.
She was preceded in death by her father, John W. Sharpe, Sr.
Left to cherish her memory are her devoted husband, Jerry Brown; her children, Josh (Taylor) Brown and Kelly (Jason) Swaw; her mother, Joyce Ann Geist Colburn; and her step-mother, Johnie Mae Sharpe. She was a loving and proud grandmother to Jacob, Andrew, and Lucas Swaw. Marie is also survived by her sister, Mary Jerding; her brothers, John Wayne Sharpe, Jr. and Jim Brunner; and many other family members and dear friends who loved her deeply.
Marie was a homemaker who found joy in crocheting and collecting pictures. She treasured the simple things in life and the time spent with those she loved. Her kindness, warmth, and loving spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the funeral home to offset funeral expenses.
