Mildred J. Philpot, daughter of cotton farmers from North Alabama, passed away on May 10, 2025, at Brookdale Senior Center in Columbia, Tennessee.
Born on March 25, 1932, in Elkmont, Alabama, she was a beloved mother and cherished friend.
Mildred is survived by her children, Jerry (Victoria) Philpot and Angie Philpot, as well as a brother Charles Jackson; niece Betty Baker; nephew Michael (Debra) Jackson, and numerous nieces, nephews, and loved ones. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Sim S. Philpot.
During her life, Mildred had a deep appreciation for nature. She enjoyed watching animals and birds outside, which brought her a sense of peace and joy.
A burial service will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at 12:30pm at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home.
