Monica Shaw Graham, age 56, a resident of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at her residence.
A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, February 20, 2022, from 3:00 – 5:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on April 8, 1965, in Columbia, Tennessee, Monica was the daughter of Joe Mack Shaw and the late Martha Ethridge Shaw.
Her artistic career began when she started working at Sims Art Gallery in Columbia. After having three children, she and her husband started their own catering business, Monica’s Edible Arts. Following the selling of that business, she worked as a cake decorator at Kroger.
A very beautiful and talented woman, Monica enjoyed pursuing her modeling career and was a stand-in for numerous movies and television shows. Known as “Menahnee” by her family, she was an extremely proud mother and grandmother. She was caring and kind and never met a stranger. Outside of being a devoted mother and grandmother, Monica was very creative and enjoyed arts and crafts and making jewelry.
In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband, Darrell Graham of twenty-eight years, son, Jason Brooks (Danielle Holt) of Columbia; daughters, Heather (Michael) Link of PA and Amber Brooks of Columbia; and grandchildren, Braxton Shaw Brooks, Sawyer Haygood, Aspen Olivier Duren, Ramona Lewis, Hazel Lewis, and Mackenzie Link.
Along with her mother, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jon Mark Shaw, and sister, Martha “Michelle” Shaw.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made in Monica’s name to the Place of Hope, 105 N James Campbell Blvd, Columbia, TN 38401, The Center of Hope, P.O. Box 1961, Columbia, TN 38402, or the Harvest Share Food Pantry, 419 West 9th Street, Columbia, TN 38401.
