Nannie Jo Lowery, age 92, resident of Columbia, passed away Friday, September 24 at her home.
Graveside services for Mrs. Lowery will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, September 30th at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens with Pastor Kerry James officiating. Visitation with the family will be on Thursday from 12 Noon until 2:30 at Heritage Funeral Home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born October 24, 1928 in Culleoka, she was the daughter of the late Joe and Annie Fitzpatrick Moore and wife of the late Clarence Lowery. She worked as a seamstress for Weather Tamer. She enjoyed sewing, growing flowers, cooking, and Atlanta baseball games. She lived life to the fullest.
Mrs. Lowery is survived by her son: Charles (Darlene) Lowery of Columbia; daughter: Felicia Lowery of Columbia; brother: Josh Moore and Caleb Moore, both of Lewisburg; sisters: Mildred Brown and Rebecca Moore, both of Columbia and Margaret Winston of Washington, DC; grandchildren: Telecia, Courtney, Keisha, Quinten, Tamarcus, De’ Tristan, Qua Daisha, Sherisse, Jamie, Steve, Anthony, Shawn, Janae, Crystal, Tymecia, Tanika, Katricia, Tarisha, and Kevin; host of great and great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by daughters: Johnnie Lowery and Dorothy Martin, sons: Clarence, Billy, and Stanley; brothers; Johnnie Fleming, Willie, and William Moore; sisters: Mattie Braden, Brownie Roan, and Mary Armstrong; grandchildren: Alton and Eric Lowery and Nathan Pillow.
