Mr. Peter Oviatt Henry resident of Columbia Tennessee, passed from this life on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, he was 90 years old.
Peter was a member of the United States Navy and attended The Ohio State University. His role in the Navy was an anti-submarine and air crewman during the Korean War. During his time away from the Navy, he worked for a wholesale electronics distributor. He and his wife of 69 years loved to volunteer and help others. Notably, they would volunteer at Maury Regional Medical Center and Red Cross.
In addition to his wife, Betty, he is survived by his son, Chuck (Maureen Prester-Henry) Henry, his daughter, Katy Henry, as well as five grandchildren, Kelly (Joshua) Galyean of Franklin Tennessee, Summer (Pedro) Medrano of Texas, Molly (Denton) Casey of Smyrna Tennessee, Rebecca Henry of Chapel Hill, Tennessee, Mitchell Henry of Columbus, Ohio, and nine Great Grandchildren, Kaley, Jr., Katalina, Natalia, Anderson, Archer, Cadence, Arlo, and Parker.
A Celebration of Life will be held on June 15, 2022, from 3:00 p.m.to 6:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home.
