Phil Thomas Douglas Gray, age 84, husband of Tonya Garner Gray, and a resident of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at his residence.
Born on May 6, 1941, in Lawrence County, Tennessee, Phil was the son of the late Wallace and Dora Gray. He was a true outdoorsman who found joy in hunting and fishing. The family requests memorial donations be made in Phil’s honor to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 1 Music Cir S Suite 230, Nashville, TN 37203.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Charles (Theresa) Gray, Rhonda Risner, Reathia (Dewayne) Horne, step children, April (David) Clabaugh, Angel (Jeff) Cummings, Terry (Carolyn) Richardson, sister, Daphine (George) Lopp, mother and father in law, Ralph and Opal Garner, brother in law, David (Michaela) Garner, grandchildren, Thomas Gray, Tiffany Nagle, Parion (Erick) Corbitt, Brittany Gray, Ivy Bostick, Brandie Massey, Blake Ray, Nancy Harris, Jamie Newton, Cherika Kilpatrick Pierce, Lucas Kilpatrick, Chandler Norwood, step grandchildren, Logan Clabaugh, Wesley Clabaugh, Liam Cummings, Lilly Cummings, Kylie Richardson, Tatum Richardson, fourteen great grandchildren, and one step great grandchild.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Sharon Kilpatrick, brother, J.D. Gray, and sister in law, Cathy Dollar.
