Rachel Christine Hill Foster, age 83, resident of Columbia, passed away on Friday, August 20, 2021 at Williamson Medical Center.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at 2:00 pm at Santa Fe Cemetery with Sister Inez Jones and Brother Mark Thomas officiating. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday from 12:00 pm until 1:30 pm at Heritage Funeral Home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Rachel was born on January 30, 1936 Maury County and was the daughter of the late William Hill and the late Lar Ruthie (Warren) Hill. She was the wife of Howard Foster who preceded her in death on January 23, 2021. She retired from Tennessee Farm Bureau and was a member of Emmanuel Church of Christ and Pentecostal Church of Christ. Rachel worked at the Santa Fe School in the cafeteria for many years, Ann’s Boutique, and at the Middle Tennessee Research Center. She loved to cook for her family. She loved people and a special little friend Rayleigh Brown. She was loved by all who knew her and will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her sons, Tony (Michelle) Foster of Santa Fe and Jeff (Renea) Foster of Santa Fe; brother, Leroy Hill of Waynesboro; granddaughter, Haley Foster; and her precious Yorkie “Scooter.”
Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her brothers, Thomas, Walter, and Leon “Peanut” Hill, and sister, Audrey Hill.
Pallbearers will be Todd Hill, Steve Hill, Timmy White, Byron White, Tommy Conger, Kenneth Brown, and Keith Miller.
