Mr. Randy Doyle Young, age 66, husband of Terri Young, and a resident of Columbia, passed away Wednesday evening, August 4, 2021, at his residence.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 7th at 2:30 pm at Heritage Funeral Home with Kenneth Bray and Jeremiah Tatum officiating. The family will visit with friends on Saturday from 12 noon until the 2:30 pm service at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Randy was a native of Maury County and was the son of the late Emmitt Young and the late Frances Sisk Young. He worked as an equipment operator and retired from Civil Contractors. Randy enjoyed collecting antique toys, walking, and eating country cooking. He was a member of Old Lasea Church of Christ. Most of all, he loved his family.
He is survived by his wife, Terri Collins Young of Columbia; daughter, Tonya (Davin) Bell of Columbia; brother, Roger Young of Columbia; sisters, Joan Dugger of Columbia, Gail (Dwayne) Adams of Columbia, and Glenda Sealey of Jasper, TN; sisters-in-law, Vicki Harden of Lewisburg and Linda Young of Mt. Pleasant; grandchild, Dawson Pigg; aunts, Alma Sisk, Judy Lee, Linda Balinger, and Lois Kelley; several nieces and nephews; very special friend of 43 years, Gerald Greggs; and Te-Cup, his best little fur friend.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jerry Young and Gary Young; sister, Joyce Dodson; brothers-in-law, Marshall Dodson, Ronnie Dugger, and Jerry Hardin; and sister-in-law, Jennis Young.
