Rickey Odell Woody, age 65, a resident of Water Valley Road in Santa Fe, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at his residence.
Born on April 14, 1958, in Columbia, Tennessee, Rickey was the son of Barbara Woody Rountree and the late Carlton Woody.
He was a 1976 graduate of Columbia Central High School. He was a skilled woodworker who in his younger years, enjoyed hunting and fishing. A very kind person, Rickey would do anything for you, if he was able.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his children, Chessica (Jon Paul Jones) Runyon, Dan (Hannah) Woody, brother, Ben (Vickie) Woody, grandchildren, Brooks and Hayden Journey, Adisyn and Kendall Runyon, Hunter, Avery Mae, and Olivia Woody, nieces, Megan Woody Pryor and Madi Woody, aunts, Ann Sparkman and Christine (Marion) Sewell, Maury County cousins, Dean and David Sewell, Kent Woody, Anette Matlock, and Roger Sparkman, other cousins, Ronald Sparkman, Sandra Dixson, Roger Sparkman, Danny Sparkman, Barry Sparkman, Donald Webb, Susan Williams, Leanne Caruthers, Carolyn Latcher, and life long friend, Rick Lucas.
Along with his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, James Coleman Woody, grandparents, Clarence & Virgie Woody and Coleman & Mattie Sparkman.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2024, from 12:00 – 2:00 PM in the Hunter Room of Heritage Funeral Home. Following the visitation, he will be laid to rest in Santa Fe Cemetery. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. https://www.tnfunerals.com
