Mr. Ricky Allen Thompson, age 61, a resident of Culleoka, passed away Friday, October 8, 2021, at Maury Regional Medical Center.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2021, at 5:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Lanier Nail officiating. A visitation will also be held on Thursday, October 21st from 4:00 – 5:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on February 15, 1960, in Maury County, Ricky was the son of the late Bobby Gene Thompson and the late Kathern Wiley Thompson. He served twelve years in the Tennessee National Guard and worked most of his life as a plumber. Most recently, he worked approximately ten years for the City of Columbia. He was an extremely hard worker who cut grass for over twenty yards. He was an excellent cook who loved riding motorcycles. Above all, he loved his family and was an amazing husband and father.
He is survived by his wife of thirty-six years, Pam Winters, sons, Perry (Connie) Winters of Mt. Pleasant, Brian (Caitlin) Winters of Lawrenceburg, brother, Terry (Denise) Thompson of Santa Fe, sisters, Becky Thompson of Columbia, Lisa Patrick of Columbia, sister in law, Lesa (Micky) Blackburn of Lewisburg, grandchildren, Cameron, Shelby, Brittney, Connor, Maxwell, Charlie, Lucy, nieces and nephews, TJ (Kalee) Thompson, Emily Thompson, Chase Patrick, Ashley (Zach) Ervin, Shelly Hill, Ashely Fenwick, Brandy Diaz, and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Brent Thompson.
