Mr. Robert Morgan Taylor, age 76, a resident of Lynnwood Drive in Columbia, passed away Monday morning, November 29, 2021, at Maury Regional Medical Center.
It was Mr. Taylor’s request that there be no public services. He will be laid to rest in Friendship Cemetery in Culleoka. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on December 2, 1944, in Petersburg, Tennessee, Robert was the son of the late Claude Ray Taylor and the late Clara Belle Birchfield Taylor. He served twenty-two years in the United States Army with his rank being an E-8 First Sergeant. He married Teresa Osborne on December 5, 1998; she preceded him in death on July 23, 2014. Robert was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his son, Adam Edward Taylor, stepdaughter, Caroline LaFleur, stepsons, Mike Osborne, David Osborne, sister, Fleeta (Charles) Holt, grandchildren, Jacob Taylor, Audrey Taylor, step-grandchildren, Isabella LaFleur, Cassie LaFleur, several other step-grandchildren, special brother-in-law, Roy Osborne, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Teresa Osborne Taylor, and sisters, Juanita Cannon and Faye Williams.
