Ronald Eugene “Hamburger” Johnson, age 57, a resident of Columbia, passed away Friday, June 17, 2022, at Tri Star Centennial Medical Center.
Born on September 7, 1964, in Hampshire, Tennessee, Ronald was the son of the late Emerson Eugene Johnson and the late Jennie Mae Sparkman Johnson.
He is survived by his wife, Liza Johnson, son, Ronald Eugene (Tiffany) Smith, daughter, Cassandra Melissa Johnson, devoted sister, Darlene Johnson, sister, Lora Johnson, half-sister, Renater Webster, very devoted cousin, Dorothy Carter, aunts, Catherine (Jerry) Holt, Linda Sparkman, Bertha Sparkman, Penny Sparkman, uncles, James Sparkman, Charlie Sparkman, Lewis Sparkman, Jessie Sparkman, Bobby (Jackie) Sparkman, great great great aunt, Gladys Johnson, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is also survived by his second family, Catherine Davis, Jeff (Becky) Davis, Emily Lawson, Elizabeth Murphy, Allison Pulley, and Aaron Davis.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Eyvonne Webster, grandparents, Ada Webster, Early Johnson, Richard Sparkman, Isabell Webster, and second family, Wayne Davis and Mike & Melanie Davis.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at 3:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with E. Thomas Vann officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery in Hohenwald. His body will lie in state on Friday, June 24, 2022, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
