Ronald Keith Powers, Jr. age 65, a resident of Lewisburg, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, May 14, 2025.
Born on April 2, 1960, in Kansas City, Missouri, Ronald was the son of the late Ronald K. Powers, Sr. and the late Linda L. Hathaway Powers. From a young age, Ron stood out as a talented bowler with a lifelong average over 200, and he once dreamed of becoming a professional. He was also an exceptional mechanic, known for his ability to tune engines by hand to perfection — a true craftsman with a deep love for car racing.
Ron’s interests extended to music, where he found joy in playing guitar and singing. He will be remembered for his passion, his skill, and the kindness he shared with those around him.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Elizabeth Ann Powers; his daughter, Amy Powers of Olathe, Kansas; step children, Joseph Sonnier and Misty Sonnier; his brother, Michael E. (Terri J.) Powers of Abbeville, Alabama; and his sister, Debi L. (Kevin L.) White, Sr. of Martinez, Georgia. He also leaves behind many cousins, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his first wife, Coleen L. Powers, who passed away on February 8, 2022.
