Sara Margaret Dugger Uptain, 81, a retired secretary for Wright & Lopez Construction Company, died Monday, July 4, 2022, at Williamson Medical Center.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 4:00 P.M. at Williamsport Methodist Church with Reverend Donna Higginbotham officiating. Burial will follow in Williamsport Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 2:00 P.M. until service time at the church.

Born March 4, 1941, in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late Robert Taylor Dugger, Jr. and the late Doris Cummins Dugger. Mrs. Uptain was a member of Williamsport Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband whom she married December 20, 1963, Charles Wesley Uptain; daughters, Anna Elizabeth Uptain (Beth Steele) of Maryville, TN, Doris Jane (Sadiq) Al-Amery of Williamsport; brother, Robert Taylor (Betty) Dugger, III of Dickson; sister, Alice Elizabeth (Jim) Elliott of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Emmalyn Wauford (Garrett) Lipe of Illinois, Wesley Ryan (Jean) Wauford of Columbia, Alleah Al-Amery of Nashville; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
