Sean Anthony Antista, age 44, resident of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Friday, October 29, 2021, at his residence.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2021, at 1:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Dedra Campbell officiating. A visitation will be held on Friday, November 5, 2021, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on December 21, 1976, in Panorama City, California, Sean was the son of Debbie Delaplane Antista and the late Robert Anthony Antista. He had a heart of gold. Sean genuinely loved people and would do just about anything to help someone in need. An avid sports enthusiast, Sean enjoyed watching and playing baseball and football. His favorite teams were the Dodgers, Steelers, and, of course, the Titans. In addition to his love of sports, Sean loved nature. He enjoyed landscaping and specifically loved roses and sunflowers. A practical joker, Sean could bring laughter to the most serious of situations. His love of food led him to be a self-proclaimed master chef who could create delicious meals with almost any ingredient. Sean will be remembered for his warm hugs and easy smile, as well as his love for his family, especially his two daughters.
In addition to his mother, Sean is survived by daughters, Hailey Savannah Antista (mother: Jennifer Antista) and Brook Monroe Antista (mother: Katie Huff-Jolly); brother, Shane Antista; and sister, Noelle (Chris) Dawson. Several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and “the cousins” also survive.
Honorary pallbearers will include Shane Antista, Bryce Antista, Jim Antista, Nick Antista, Devin Dawson, Jace Dawson, David Delaplane, Adam Maier, Curtis Dunbar, Race Gentry, and Chris Dawson.
