Mr. Sherman Lee Bobo, Jr., age 75, a resident of Bear Creek Pike in Columbia, passed away Monday, December 13, 2021, at NHC Columbia.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 17, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Eric Hogstrom, chaplain of Caris Hospice, officiating. Burial will follow in Harvey Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 16, 2021, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on December 19, 1945, in Lawrence County, Sherman was the son of the late Sherman Lee Bobo, Sr., and the late Ruby Marie Butler Bobo. He enjoyed fishing, loved watching westerns, and was said to “like oldies and goodies.” He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his son, Darren (Becky) Bobo of Columbia, daughter, Ramona “Sissy” Westmoreland of Columbia, brothers, Larrie (Teresa Faye) Bobo of Spring Hill, Charles David Bobo of Columbia, sisters, Linda Faye (Bill) Greggs of Columbia, Teresa Bobo of Columbia, Martha Foster of Culleoka, Anita Bobo of Columbia, and grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Kaleb Westmoreland.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Bobo.
Pallbearers will be Nicholas Bobo, Tyler Bobo, Raymond Greggs, John Carrington, Tammy Carrington, and Tim Frazier. Honorary pallbearers will include the staff of NHC Pulaski, NHC Columbia, and Caris Hospice.
