Shirley Marie Jones Mosley, age 70, passed away at home surrounded by family on Friday, January 27, 2023.
Shirley was born in Columbia, Tennessee on February 4, 1952, to Athen Martin Jones, Sr. and the late Betty O’Neal.
Shirley’s natural charm was to bring laughter into peoples’ lives. You would always be in for a good laugh with her personality around. Any time you walked into her warm home, she would have “The Incredible Dr. Pol” on her TV while she worked on her puzzles. Some of her favorite things to do was spend quality time with her husband as they drove through the countryside in their family van, and tending to her rosebushes.
Shirley was a woman of the Lord and loved to praise with gospel music. Above all else, she adored her family and was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and caretaker to all. She will be deeply missed by all those who loved her.
Those left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband, Paul Edward Mosley; son: Paul “Eddie” (Ladreana), and Steven (Christina) Mosley; grandchildren: Daniel, Lacy, Alisha, Gracie, Victoria, Kallie, and Hunter; sister: Marion Williams; brother: A.J. (Stella) Jones; and a special aunt who was like a mother: Gladys Martin.
In addition to her mother, Shirley is preceded in death by her daughters, Valerie and Marie Mosley, and granddaughter, Brittany Mosley.
The family would like to give gratitude to Caris Hospice and Health Angels of Hohenwald.
The family will be receiving friends at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant from Tuesday, January 31, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM
