Smitty Ott Carter, 88, retired operator of Spurlock & Carter, died Sunday, July 17, 2022 at his residence in Columbia.
Born March 23, 1934 in Davidson County, he was the son of the late Ottis M. Carter and the late Anna Mae Smith Carter. Mr. Carter was a member of Destiny Church.
Survivors include wife, whom he married on September 11, 1967, Wanda Jean Emler Carter of Columbia; daughter, Kelly Ann (Daniel) Welker of Smyrna; and grandchildren, Aaron Jones and Dylan Jones.
