Sondra Kaye Troope Ussery-King went to be with her heavenly family on Sunday, August 28, 2022, she was 74 years old.

She was born September 7, 1947 in Columbia, Tennessee to the late Paul Edward Troope and Viviene Harris Troope.

She was a 1965 graduate of Columbia Central High School. Sondra was employed by Monsanto Chemical Company till their shutdown and the Clerical Department of the Maury County Sheriff’s Department. Sondra loved spending time with family and friends. In her later days, she enjoyed coloring, crocheting, visits from her family, and her pop-tarts.

Sondra is survived by her sons, Chris (Kim) Woods, John Ussery, Jimmy Ussery; grandchildren, Amanda Woods, Tonya Woods, Johnathan Ussery, Emilee Ussery, and Kandi Alguire; great-grandchildren, Jameson Tanner Woods, Jasper Clark, and Carson Alguire; along with several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by special friend Patricia Ingram, and special sister-in-law, Vicky Troope.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Ussery; husband, Richard King; brother, Charles Troope; and stepdaughter, Dawn Davis.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Ned Rich and Cliff Stanfill officiating. Burial will follow in Williamsport Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Richie Hickman, Tommy Anderson, Nathan Bolton, Johnathan Ussery, Noah Jones, and Jason Troope. Honorary pallbearers include retirees of Monsanto Chemical Company, past and present members of the Maury County Sheriff’s Department, friends and neighbors at NACO.
