Teddy “Dale” Adams, passed away peacefully at the age of 65 on March 10th, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones.

He was a man who brought joy and laughter to all those who knew him, and his passing has left a void that will be difficult to fill.

Born on January 28th, 1958, in Columbia, Tennessee, Dale was the son of the late William and Brownie Adams.

He grew up in a large family and learned the value of hard work and family early on in life. Dale was a man of many talents, but his passion for all things radio was what truly set him apart.

He loved nothing more than tinkering with his CB radio and HAM radio equipment, and his call sign “KA4ZDR” was well-known among his fellow enthusiasts. Dale’s sense of humor and friendly nature made him a natural at making new friends, and he never met a stranger he couldn’t charm.

But it was his kind heart that truly endeared him to everyone he met. Dale was always willing to lend a helping hand, and he lived his life with a generosity of spirit that inspired others to do the same. He cherished his family above all else, and his daughters, grandchildren, and siblings were the lights of his life.

Dale is survived by his daughters: Valorie Adams and Robyn Adams; grandchildren: Alexis Adams, Isaiah Adams, and Sophie Adams; sisters: Laura Mayberry, Patsy Walker, Virgie Denton, Betty Bigsby, and Barbara Hooper; his nephews: Adam and Robert Boyd, as well as many other members of his extended family.

In addition to his parents, Dale is preceded in death by his siblings: Thomas Adams, Pat Adams, Earl Adams, Clara Norman, and Bertha Barber.

Dale will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will live on through the many lives he touched with his warmth, humor, and love. Rest in peace, “Big Dawg.”

The family will receive friends and family on Sunday, March 26, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held Monday, March 27, 2023, at 1:00 PM with Bro. Steven Swango officiating. Dale will be laid to rest at Concord Cemetery in Columbia.

The care of Mr. Teddy Dale Adams and his family has been entrusted to the staff of Williams Funeral Home. To share words of comfort and condolences, please visit www.williamsfh.com.
