Mrs. Thelma Jean Bennett, age 74, a resident of Columbia, passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at her residence.
Born on February 10, 1949, in South Carolina, Thelma was the daughter of the late James Milton Watkins and the late Clara Elizabeth Pulley Watkins.
She enjoyed fishing and camping as well playing pool, horseshoes and corn hole.
Thelma is survived by her daughters, Tammy Johnson of Columbia, Beverly (David) Ragsdale of Culleoka, brother, David (Charlotte) Watkins of Franklin, sisters, Janie (Emmanuel) Pina of Rally Hill, Shirley Harper of Rally Hill, Judy (Carl) Scott of College Grove, and grandchildren, Jeani Bennett, T.J. Sweeney, Cody Johnson, Kelsey Ragsdale, Larry Ragsdale, Layla Bennett, Kimber Bennett and Brittany Bennett.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jr. Johnson and brother, James Allen Watkins.
