Thomas “Thom” Stanley Kojetin, Jr., age 57, husband of Rebecca Kojetin, and a resident of Columbia, passed away Sunday, February 6, 2022, at Maury Regional Medical Center.
A celebration of life service will be held by the family at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on June 30, 1964, in Robbinsdale, Minnesota, Thom was the son of the late Thomas Stanley Kojetin, Sr., and the late Sandra Renee Edmisten. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army where he served as a medical specialist. Over the years, he had numerous occupations, some of which included construction, roofing, delivery driver, taxi driver, and Mississippi River barge worker. Most recently he loved working as a truck driver. He married Rebecca Wilson Kojetin on October 1, 1999. Thom had a great sense of humor, and he often enjoyed camping and fishing. His greatest hobby was wood turning.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Anita Kojetin, Tami Kojetin (Elbert Cates, Jr.), stepsons, David (Sarah) DeMolli, Daniel (Kara) DeMolli, sisters, Kathie (Ken) Krupala, Deb (Donald) Nutzman, Renee Kojetin, stepbrother, Larry Corson, grandchildren, Tyler Kojetin, Rylie Mast, Dreya Lyman, Aduntis Parker, Rivera Parker, Christopher Szymanski, Matthew Szymanski, Jaxon DeMolli, Jensen DeMolli, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Pat Corson Kojetin, son, Jeff Kojetin, and brother, Jim Kojetin.
