Timothy “Tim” Wade Henderson, 67, of Columbia, TN passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at Magnolia Healthcare in Columbia.

Tim was born on May 3, 1958 in Lawrenceburg, TN to the late John Jay Henderson and the late Joyce Hill Henderson. He was a 1977 graduate of Lawrence County High School. Tim joined the Lawrenceburg Fire Department upon graduation from high school. He then changed gears, literally, becoming a truck driver for several trucking companies, retiring from Averitt Express.

Tim had several hobbies including dirt track racing, motor cross in his younger days, NASCAR, NHRA, and hunting. He never met a stranger as was evident by his vast array of friends and acquaintances, Tim was a natural comedian, and jokester. Most of those who knew him well were “gifted” a nickname from him.

Tim is survived by his wife of 45 years, Kimberly Anderson Henderson; daughter, Becky (Greg) Loveless; grandson, Charlie Loveless; sister, Pam (Mike) Campbell; nephew, Bret (Cathy) Campbell; niece, Tasha (Dakota) Taylor; great nieces, Olivia Taylor and Andi Taylor; father in law, Raymond Anderson; sister in law, Leigh (Jeff) Whitefield; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother in law Sarah Anderson.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, November 7, 2025 at 6:00 PM at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Ted Burleson officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Burial will take place on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Polk Memorial Gardens with Roger Cooper officiating.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or Columbia Academy at 1101 West 7th Street, Columbia, TN 38401. Online condolences may be extended at www.oakesandnichols.com.

Active pallbearers will be Greg Loveless, Charlie Loveless, Roger Cooper, Mark Blasingim, Chad Blasingim, Mike Campbell, Bret Campbell, Wayne Hill and Terry Hill. Honorary pallbearers will be past and present employees of Averitt Express, King’s Firearms and Ted’s Sporting Goods.
