Vicki Teresa Dodson Scott, age 69, wife of Eddie Scott, and a resident of Water Valley/Santa Fe, passed away, unexpectedly of an acute illness, on Tuesday morning, September 20, 2022, at Maury Regional Medical Center.
A native of Maury County, Vicki was born on August 18, 1953, and was the daughter of the late WM “Buddy” Dodson and the late Elizabeth Dodson.
She was a 1972 graduate of Santa Fe High School and married Eddie Scott on May 16, 1975. Vicki was a member of Fly Church of the Nazarene. She loved all animals, especially hummingbirds. She was a people person who had a special love for her Water Valley and Santa Fe Community friends.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sister, Sharon (Elton) Sisk of Santa Fe, special double first cousins, Zonelle (Stan) Kozich, George (Annette) Dodson, Linda Dodson; brother-in-law, Roger Scott, sisters in law, Shirley Adams, Debbie Loveless, nieces and nephews, Sherry (Robert) Pogue, Kenvin Sisk, Brian Adams, Andrew Scott, Matthew Scott, Jason Haywood, Christy (Ben) Moore, and numerous great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces, and great-great nephews.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant brother, William Dodson, special double first cousins, Frank Dodson, Anderson Dodson, mother-in-law, Goldie Harder, and uncle and aunt, Bevley and Esterlene Dodson.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2022, at 12:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with James Lunsford and Keith Baker officiating. Burial will follow in Santa Fe Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Will Pogue, Adam Sisk, Andrew Sisk, Austin Winchester, Daryl Brown, Brian Adams, Mitch Brown, JT Shouse, Greg Dodson, Tim Haywood, Jonathan Roland, Roger Scott, Andrew Scott, Matthew Scott, and Jason Haywood.
