It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Victoria “Vickie” Susanne Estes. She passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 24, 2026, in Hohenwald, Tennessee. She was the daughter of Moreau P. Estes and Bertha Mary Lewis Estes, her beloved mother. She is preceded in death by her parents and much-loved brother, “Reau” Estes, and her best friend, Stephanie. She is survived by her nephew Ewell Estes, Reau’s son.
Vickie grew up in Brentwood, Tennessee, where she rode horses on the family estate, eventually turning the horse barn into her wonderful home. She attended Harpeth Hall in Nashville before starting careers in banking and real estate. She retired to her happy place in Hohenwald, where she was a consistent reporter of the weather to Lelan Statom at NewsChannel 5. She loved nature, gardening, animals, and the Lord.
She was a faithful listener of Dr. Charles Stanley. Vickie was a woman of high moral character, extreme intelligence, and passion. She stood for the truth even when it wasn’t the popular thing to do. A favorite expression of Vickie’s was, “The world is a crazy place; stay safe.” Well, Miss Vickie, you are finally safe, and you will be so missed.
Vickie will be laid to rest in the place she loved, Hohenwald, TN, on Thursday, March 5th. There will be graveside services at 2:00 on Thursday, March 5th, at Swiss Cemetery.
Vickie was a passionate supporter of the ASPCA, Shriners’ Children’s Hospital, and also The Wounded Warrior Project. Please, in lieu of flowers, donate in her honor to one of these deserving charities. Vickie would appreciate that.
