Violetta A. Crumley, age 93, and a resident of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at Maury Regional Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Ward Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, from 11:00 AM until the service hour at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Violetta was born on January 28, 1932, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Nicholas John Raffae and the late Violet Gottschalk Weege.

Violetta enjoyed a simple, fulfilling life centered around the things and beings she loved most. She found joy in cooking, embroidering, working puzzles, and playing rummy. She also had a special love for her cats. Known for her kindness and generous heart, she was always willing to care for others and their pets. Violetta was of the Lutheran faith, which guided her gentle spirit and compassionate nature.

Violetta is survived by her daughters, Patricia Luther, Viola Harrington, Lynda Crumley, Nicola (Butch) Hickman; grandchildren, Michael (Jackii) Harrington, Jr., Kellie (Brent) Warf, Dustin (Katie) Hickman, Andrew (Jennifer) Luther; great grandchildren, Brent, Brenna, Brigham, Bryson, Caden, Emma Kate, Epperly and Charleston, Lola; three bonus great grandchildren; eight bonus great-great grandchildren; and her two cats, Miss Dolly and Angel.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Crumley, the love of her life; brother, Joseph Raffae; grandson, Clayton Hickman, and Liz Pruitt (who was like a daughter).

Active pallbearers will be Butch Hickman, Michael Harrington, Jr., Andrew Luther, Brent Warf, Dustin Hickman, Hal Holcomb and Billy Ivey.
