W.C. Waldrop, age 88, passed away on February 21, 2022, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
W.C. was born on February 22, 1933, in Giles County, Tennessee to the late Martin Luther and Haughty Bell Waldrop.
W.C. was a long-time member of the Spencer Hill Church of Christ. He loved going to church and went as much as he was able to. W.C. was a hardworking man and did everything he could to help people.
W.C. was a fun man. He loved to make everyone laugh. One of his favorite hobbies was running the chainsaw, cutting up wood. He also loved his Dodge truck and his spoiled dog, Lady. He enjoyed farming and tending to his gardens.
W.C. loved his Lord more than he loved anything else in the world. He also loved his family, especially the love of his life: Carolyn whom he had spent almost 70 years together.
W.C. is preceded in death by his parents: Martin Luther and Haughty Waldrop; and 11 siblings.
W.C. is survived by his wife: Carolyn Waldrop; son: Jeff (Sherryl) Waldrop; daughter: Debbie (Terry) Weaver; grandchildren: Jennifer (Jimmy) Watkins, Danielle (Trevor) Roberts, Andrea (Aaron) Chapman, Brandon (Jessica) Weaver, and Brent (Emily) Weaver; great-grandchildren: Hunter, Allena, Sandra, Will, Brantley, Baylee, Boone, Abel, Arly, and Broly; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Mike Waldrop, Jimmy Watkins, Brandon Weaver, Brent Weaver, Aaron Chapman, and Keefer Roberts.
Honorary pallbearers: Thomas Roberts, Michael Guthrie, Trevor Roberts, Michael Casey Woodard, and the members of Spencer Hill Church of Christ.
A visitation for W.C. will be held Thursday, February 24, 2022, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee. The service for W.C. will be at 2:00 Pm on Thursday, February 24, 2022, at Williams Funeral Home, Mt. Pleasant with Randy McNeece and Rusty Colvett officiating. Burial will follow at Spencer Hill Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant.
