Mrs. Wanda Fay Brown Lentz, 86, retired accountant for Frakes Electric and resident of Columbia, died Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at Magnolia Health Care.
The family will visit with friends Sunday, February 20th from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. The family requests that you please wear a facial covering. Born December 7, 1935 in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas William Brown and the late Rosa Elizabeth Renegar Brown.
She married Marlin Allen Lentz, Sr. on April 4, 1953 who preceded her in death on April 3, 1989. She had many hobbies, which included square dancing, clogging, and sewing. She also loved to travel. Mrs. Lentz and her husband were long time members of the Wagon Wheelers.
Survivors include her son, Marlin Allen (Connie) Lentz, Jr. of Columbia; daughters, Wanda (Steven) Latta of Columbia; Tasca (Anthony) Hardison of Columbia; grandchildren, Kristina (Scott) Powell, Josh (Melissa) Latta, Alan Hardison, Jr., Whitney Hardison, Crystal (Kirk) Butler, and Wesley (Kali) Lentz; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Peggy (Bill) Jones of Lewisburg; sister-in-law, Jean Brown (Hubert) Smith and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Steven Christopher Latta; sister, Fannie Bell Kennedy; and brother, Thomas Richard Brown.
