Born on January 30, 1947, in Limestone County, Alabama, Wanda was the daughter of the late Cullen Carter South and the late Prudie Franklin South. She previously worked as a seamstress for Weather Tamer and most recently worked for Robby Products where she retired. She loved her church, Colonial Meadows Church for Christ, where she was a devoted member. It was important to Wanda that the flowers around her house always be immaculate, and she often enjoyed rocking in any rocking chair. She recently was able to finally mark a trip to Hawaii off her bucket list! Above all, she loved spending time with her family, being surrounded by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and had a special love for her fur babies.

She is survived by her sons, Terry (Shelby) Brooks of Columbia, Danny Brooks of Columbia, grandchildren, Tiffany Brooks, Katelyn Brooks, and great-grandchildren, Kenley Reynolds, Zayden Oliver, Kylie Miller, Amia Brown-Cannon, Cerabel Brown-Cannon, Izabel Brown-Cannon, and Kingston Pierce.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Earline Wilson, Judy Bradford, Margie Nelson, and brothers, Lonnie, David, Hubert, Roger, and Carter South.

Pallbearers will be Glen Nelson, Ricky Haskins, Billy Manier, Willis Brown, Chris Potts, Dakoda Brown, Cole Wilson, and Alan Ledbetter. Honorary pallbearers will include the members of The Colonial Meadows Church for Christ.
