Wanda Norwood Rice, 80, retired Lab Technician for Maury Regional Medical Center and resident of Santa Fe, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Born September 8, 1943 in Giles County, TN., she is the daughter of the late Aubrey Norwood and the late Pearlie Felker Norwood.
She was a member of Hilltown Church Of Christ.
Mrs. Rice is survived by her daughters, Teresa (James) Black of Duck River, TN, Lisa (David) Lovett of Columbia, TN., Joan (Chris) Rochester of Columbia, TN; sister, Linda Duncan of Culleoka, TN.; grandchildren, Evan (Erica) Mitchell, Kayla (Ben) Thomason, Ashlyn Mitchell, Zane Hargrove; great-grandchildren, Roland Thomason, Aubrey Mitchell, Aiden Mitchell; nephew, Jeff (Tiffany) Duncan; and great-nephews, Chase Duncan, and Max Duncan.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, April 15, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Glenn Richardson and Bob Hill officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Sunday, April 14, 2024 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Online condolences may be extended at www.oakesandnichols.com.
