William “Scooter” Baugh, age 71, a resident of Columbia, gained his wings on Friday April 4, 2025, at Life Care Center of Columbia.

A visitation will be held on Saturday April 12, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the funeral home.

He will be laid to rest following the funeral service at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.

Born on April 18, 1953, in Williamson County, Scooter was the son of the late Dave and Marie Lee Baugh.

Scooter accepted Christ at an early age and later became a member of Burns Tabernacle Primitive Baptist Church, under the leadership of Elder John Haynes, in Franklin, Tennessee.

Although a member of Burns, he faithfully attended New Town Church of Christ, under the leadership of Minister Lazerius Davis, until his health began to fail.

Scooter was a hardworking man who took great pride in his job and was valued by the people he worked for. He worked for the railroad in his early years and later worked as a security guard.

He enjoyed fishing and spending time by himself.

He leaves to cherish his memory; his devoted niece, Mary “Lottie” Pope, sons, Tywan Armstrong, Darrell (Jeanna) Baugh, Darren Baugh, daughter, Jamie (Marcus) Wade; nineteen grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

As well as his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Annie (Bea) Baugh, brothers, James (Mary) Baugh, Charles (Ann) Baugh, Robert (Mary) Baugh, sister, Leo Buchanan, and grandson, Dominic Armstrong.
