Mr. William “Bill” Robert Clow, age 84, husband of LaVera Clow, and a resident of Columbia, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2023, at Alive Hospice in Nashville.
Born on September 8, 1938, in Wellsburg, West Virginia, Bill was the son of the late Frank Clifford Clow, Jr. and the late Josephine Conley Clow.
He served in the United States Navy as an Aviation Storekeeper Airman Apprentice. He married LaVera Butts on January 22, 1961. He was a member of Parkway Baptist Church and a Freemason. In his spare time, he loved to relax in his sunroom.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, BJ (Jesse) Terrell of Paintsville, KY, Robbi (James) Stokes of Cornersville, TN, grandchildren, Taylor Stokes, Morgan (Austin) Creps, Cody Anderson, Colby Lockhart, Makayla Terrell, sisters, Judy Bernadini, Patty Fisher, and special neighbors, Julie McKay, Jean Coote, and Doug & Sue Adkisson.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by several aunts and uncles.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 20, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Rick Points officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by the United States Navy. A visitation will also be held Monday from 12:00 – 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Taylor Stokes, Colby Lockhart, Jesse Terrell, Earl Ward, Austin Creps, and Mark Danorovich. Honorary pallbearers will include Robert Stokes and Doug Adkisson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Alive Hospice, 1710 Patterson Street, Nashville, TN.
