Maury County Fire Department responded to a reported house fire on Southport Rd on August 24 at 7:46PM.
Arriving units found a kitchen fire and were able to quickly extinguish it with a water can. Extensive ventilation was required due to the heavy smoke conditions throughout the home.
One adult was transported to a burn center for non life threatening injuries.
The Red Cross will be assisting the family.
