One day while deep in the midst of writing articles for the Maury County Source, I suddenly craved a sandwich. Not just any sandwich though. I didn’t want a homemade, basic sandwich. I also didn’t want the mess of a homemade, time-consuming extravagant sandwich. So, naturally, I took to Facebook and asked the Columbia community where their favorite Maury County sandwiches come from and boy, did the community deliver! Buck + Board opened in Columbia in 2018 and has been a favorite ever since. They provide simple, fresh food in an elevated fashion. You will find many of their menu items come from local farms, bakeries and shops which makes Buck + Board a true community experience.

ByPass Deli has been a longtime favorite of the locals in Maury County. Affordable, delicious, fresh-made sandwiches (in addition to many other food items) that you can grab on the go or dine-in to catch an afternoon break.

A newly opened, family-owned diner that offers breakfast & lunch and is located in Hamilton Court. They haven’t been open very long but already hold near-perfect reviews on multiple sites. From full breakfast platters to spaghetti grilled cheese sandwiches, they have breakfast and lunch covered. The Juicy Egg is open 7 days a week from 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Bypass Deli on James Campbell closed and sold and was reestablished in 2020 or 2021 on Brookmead Circle. The old building on S James Campbell will be torn down for new ownership soon…almost any day.
