Downtown Columbia will blend Thanksgiving goodwill with the spirit of Christmas during a special First Fridays celebration in early November. The free community event will bring neighbors together for shared meals, charitable giving, and the arrival of the holiday season.
On November 7 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., visitors can enjoy food trucks, local restaurants, and communal tables on the Columbia Square. Guests are encouraged to bring non-perishable food donations to support Harvest Share and The Well Outreach, which will benefit local families in need.
At 6:30 p.m., the evening will transition into Christmas festivities as Santa Claus arrives and the city holds its official tree lighting, sponsored by Chris Jones State Farm. Holiday music and seasonal activities will round out the celebration.
The event is free and open to the public.
