Music is popular during the holiday because it can bring the family together and generate happy memories, as well as being a part of the religious celebration of the season. Bonds can be created through the shared experience of music. This holiday season two local venues are offering great music to Maury County residents, Homestead Hall at Hardison Mill and The Barn at Phelps Farm.
Homestead Hall
Once again Rory Feek will be presenting his Christmas Concerts at Homestead Hall. Also performing in the big red barn will be Brian White and Paul Overstreet in separate concerts.
Feek’s Christmas Concerts will take place on December 3, 10 and 17. When spending an evening at the farm, Rory shares songs and stories as he entertains the intimate crowd. While the barn began as a place for Rory to work on cars, it was eventually changed into a performance venue with a full stage and all the accoutrements needed to do concerts. Cost is $50 per person.
Brian White will be in concert on December 2, 2022. He is a CMA, ACM and Grammy award-winning country music singer and songwriter with hits such as “God Gave Me You,” “So Much for Pretending,” “Sittin’ on Go,” “I’m Not Supposed to Love You Anymore,” “Rebecca Lynn,” “Someone Else’s Star” and “From This Moment On.” Throughout his prolific recording career, he’s charted 19 singles, including six number one hits. Tickets are $25 per person.
On December 9, Paul Overstreet will be back. People can’t get enough of his award-winning music and his great sense of humor. He has written many top ten hits for country stars such as George Jones, Randy Travis, Tanya Tucker, Keith Whitley, Alison Kraus, The Judds, Kenny Chesney, Blake Shelton, Brad Paisley, and Carrie Underwood. Christmas Barn Bash at Phelps Farm
Christmas Barn Bash at Phelps Farm is on November 26, 2022. Ringing in the season with a performance by David Phelps. He served as a member of the Gaither Vocal Band and as a solo performer. He has won numerous Dove and Grammy Awards, as well as having multiple platinum-selling recording projects. He sings both Christian and secular songs, and received a Dove nomination for his version of “O Holy Night.”
David and Lori’s Barn is tucked away in the foothills of Tennessee at 2659 Tennessee Highway 373 in Culleoka, Tennessee. Barn Bash tickets can be purchased here.
