Bobby Jacobs, age 77, husband of Peggy Jacobs, and a resident of Columbia, passed away Tuesday evening, August 3, 2021, at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Bobby was born on August 14, 1943, in Maury County and was the son of the late Earl Jacobs and the late Emma Bell Black Jacobs. He married Peggy Adams on September 5, 1964, and together they had one son, Bobby Wayne Jacobs. A wonderful provider for his family, Bobby previously owned several service stations and later owned Columbia Auto Sales for forty-three years. For the past sixteen years, he has sold storage buildings until his health recently failed him. In his younger years, he often enjoyed going to races with his family. An extremely family-oriented man, Bobby was a wonderful husband and father who will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

In addition to his wife, Peggy of nearly 57 years, he leaves behind to cherish his memory, his son, Bobby Wayne Jacobs of Columbia, sister-in-law, Geraldine Franks, and niece, Tammy Bunnell. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Annie Lou Jacobs Goodman, and father and mother-in-law, James Earl Adams, Sr. “Doc” and Mildred Tomlinson Adams.
